1) Introduction and Directions of the Discipline
The discipline of power engineering and engineering thermophysics is the applied science and applied basic science that studies the basic laws of the transformation and transfer of energy in the form of heat and work and other related forms, as well as the equipment and systems that effectively implement these processes according to this law.
Training directions: 1. Thermal Energy Engineering, 2. Power Machinery and Engineering, 3. Refrigeration and Cryogenic Engineering, 4. Chemical Process Machinery.
2) Academic structure, Study Period and Learning Mode
The academic structure for the master's degree students of this discipline is 3 years, and the study period is 2-5 years (including suspension of study and retention of student status).
Master's degree students should complete their studies within the prescribed study period. The time for research on the dissertation topic and writing the dissertation for the degree (graduation) should not be less than 1 year.
For a small number of master's degree students with exceptionally outstanding academic performance, after comprehensive assessment by the college and approval of the application, they can apply for a degree (graduation) in advance, but the study time cannot be less than 2 years.
