School of Mechanical Engineering
The School of Mechanical Engineering (SME) is one of the largest engineering schools at Guangxi University (GXU), and it offers comprehensive education programs at undergraduate, master's and doctoral levels. Currently, SME has one post-doctoral mobile station in Mechanical Engineering, one doctoral program in Mechanical Engineering, one master's program in Mechanical Engineering, two master's programs in Mechanical and Energy Power.
Additionally, there are four undergraduate programs in Mechanical Design & Manufacturing and Automation, Mechanical Electronic Engineering, Vehicle Engineering, and Energy and Power Engineering. SME has the Guangxi Key Disciplines with Advantages and Characteristics (Mechanical Engineering) and established several Teaching and Research Platforms, including a National Experimental Teaching Demonstration Center, a National Virtual Simulation Experimental Teaching Center, a National Engineering Education Practice Center, a Key Laboratory for Manufacturing Systems and Advanced Manufacturing Technology in Guangxi, an Innovation Platform for Intelligent Agricultural Equipment in the Subtropics, a Research Center for New Energy Vehicles of GXU, etc. Additionally, it has the first-class engineering training center in China and 6000 sets of advanced instruments and equipment, such as flexible manufacturing systems, five-axis CNC machining systems, ultrafast laser processing systems, ultra-high precision 3D printing systems, and robotic systems.

Undergraduate Programs
1. Mechanical Design & Manufacturing and Automation (Four-year, Bachelor of engineering)
With a history of over 90 years, this program has developed into the National Characteristic Program, the Guangxi High-Quality Undergraduate Program, the Guangxi Regional Advantage Characteristic Program, and the Autonomous Region Professional Comprehensive Evaluation Five-star Program. It has continuously passed the China Engineering Education Accreditation for two times, and is the National First-class Undergraduate Program Construction Point. Guided by the quality standards of engineering accreditation, the program adheres to the concepts of "student-centered" and "outcome-based", closely follows the latest development trends of advanced manufacturing technology and the industry, and builds the teaching content and practical system with the overall form of modern manufacturing technology and intelligent manufacturing model, thus providing expanded learning and training space for cultivating innovative manufacturing talents. Meanwhile, it closely cooperates with enterprises to build a training system for cultivating outstanding talents with the abilities of innovation, entrepreneurship and engineering practice. Thus, it interacts with enterprises throughout the process to educate people cooperatively.
2. Mechanical Electronic Engineering (Four-year, Bachelor of engineering)
This program is the Autonomous Region First-class Undergraduate Program Construction Point and the Autonomous Region Professional Comprehensive Evaluation Five-star Program. Taking inheritance and innovation, intersection and integration, coordination and sharing as approaches, it focuses on complex mechanical and electrical products including industrial robots, CNC machine tools and automatic production lines and other mechanical equipment digital design, control and integration. In combination with the pillar industries in Guangxi such as machinery, automobiles and robots, it aims to cultivate diversified and innovative engineering talents to provide intellectual and talent support for the future.
3. Vehicle Engineering (Four-year, Bachelor of engineering)
This program was founded in 1982, has a history of more than 40 years, is the Guangxi Regional Characteristic Program. Aiming at the automotive industry, machinery industry, based on the research object, work content and business scope of the vehicle engineering discipline, it trains vehicle engineers with "engineer quality + lifelong learning ability + international vision" in the design, manufacturing, testing and pre-sales and after-sales service industry chain in the field of automotive and its product manufacturing.
4. Energy and Power Engineering (Four-year, Bachelor of engineering)
This program is the National First-class Undergraduate Program, the Ministry of Education "Outstanding Engineer Training Program" Pilot Program, the Autonomous Region First-class Undergraduate Program, the Guangxi High-Quality Undergraduate Program, and the Guangxi Innovation and Entrepreneurship Education Reform Model Program. The program has a long history, and the proportion of full-time teachers with doctoral degrees is close to 90%. It has outstanding scientific research achievements and complete teaching facilities.

Mechanical Engineering (Three-year, Master of Engineering)
This field involves the basic theory, technology and method in mechanical design, manufacturing, testing, application and maintenance. Meanwhile, it is closely related to materials engineering, power engineering, electrical engineering, electronics and information engineering, control engineering, computer technology, industrial design engineering and other engineering fields and mechanics disciplines.

Doctor's Programs
